Dear prAna Friends & Associates,
The unique partnership between prAna and Santa Barbara Outfitters is unfortunately coming to an end as their retail lease will conclude on January 31, 2013. With the closing of the Santa Barbara Outfitters store, prAna would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all of the exceptional folks—our associates, reps, and patrons—who made our “shop-in-shop” concept at Santa Barbara Outfitters a success since its launch back in the fall of 2010. We wish the good people of SBO the best of luck in the future and while we will miss an engaged, experienced retail partner, we want everyone to know that prAna is still available in the amazing community of Santa Barbara.
On news of the store closing prAna CEO Scott Kerslake explains, “prAna has a long history in Santa Barbara, and we are extremely grateful for the support that we’ve received from all of our customers in this amazing community. Santa Barbara Outfitters was one of prAna’s best retail stores in the country, and when the opportunity presented itself to work with them on this project, we jumped at the chance. Mark and Luisa, the owners of Santa Barbara Outfitters, are like-minded individuals in terms of community involvement, philanthropy, and environmentalism – so it was a perfect fit for prAna. The closing of Santa Barbara Outfitters is a loss to the community and we at prAna will definitely miss working them. We owe a huge ‘thank you’ to Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara Outfitters, and you can bet that we’ll be looking for new opportunities to stay involved in this community.”
